Design Package
The goal of this project was to practice making a design package for a music artist’s album release. We got to choose the artist and I chose Ruel an Australian singer/songwriter. Below I created a design package for his album Free Time.
This project was made using Cinema 4d, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects.
After looking up reference images of his past work and the real album design. I had collected some thoughts on some directions I could go based on him and his fan base.
Sketching out my rough ideas of where to take this design package.
After picking direction 4 Old School, I moved forward with creating a poster that would be the base of the animation. The benefit of my direction is by building the record player model in cinema 4d I was working on both animation and merchandise at the same time.
The next step was mocking up merch for the album.
Created the poster to be eye catching and setup the animation.
Created a webpage screen for when someone reserves tickets for a live show.
